It has been a true pleasure to manage the Palmer Candy operation since joining at the age of 23. I am fortunate enough to be part of the fifth generation of Palmers actively owning and managing this amazing innovative company.
After starting in 1980, I have had the chance to lead the company team as we grew 20 fold in size and became a nationally recognized top producer of private-label candies and general-line chocolates. What a fun and fantastic journey!
When not candy making, I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling, skiing and sailboat racing.
I have been with Palmer Candy since 1987 when I started on a route truck. I quickly became familiar with our customer's needs and entered into the sales division as the Wholesale Manager in 1992. After the closing of the wholesale division in 2003, I became the National Sales Manager before being named to Vice President of Sales in 2006. When not working, I enjoying spending time with my family and getting in time on the golf course.
I am really pleased and proud to be with the Palmer Candy Team. I have a long career in the food industry focusing on engineering, operations management and continuous improvement, which I will leverage as we continue to grow at Palmer Candy. I have worked for Kraft, General Mills and ConAgra Foods along the way, which has provided me with a lot of great skills sets that will help our journey of continued success here at Palmer Candy. I have spent 20 years in the Twin Cities and look forward to getting to know the Siouxland area better and making it our new home.
As a child growing up in NW Iowa, I always loved candy. Still today, my passion for candy and the desire to learn more about the candy industry has not changed. As Controller and Treasurer for Palmer Candy, I supervise the office team members, work on special projects and finalize all accounting functions.
I've had the pleasure of working for Palmer Candy since 2011. I love working for an organization that places GREAT emphasis on their Team Members, provides a family-oriented culture, and strives to deliver fabulous tasting, high quality products. It really is a "sweet" place to work!
I am thrilled to be part of the Palmer Candy Company Team. I have had many experiences in the food industry working for Wells Dairy, Schwan’s Food Company, Rembrandt Foods along with consulting with many other prominent food companies over my 36+ year in the industry. I look forward using my background in Quality, Food Safety, and Sanitation to work with Palmer Candy on continuing the growth that Palmer has experienced the last several years.

I have lived in the area for over 36 years and when not making candy, take time for golfing, cycling and spending time with family, friends and involvement in our community.
I've been in the purchasing field for over 29 years and the past 10 years as the Purchasing Manager. My work is very challenging but extremely rewarding. I have worked for very large companies, medium-sized companies and foreign owned companies but Palmer Candy is the best I have ever worked for.
I have thirty years of experience in design studios, advertising and marketing agencies, consulting firms and private companies. Range includes all aspects of graphic design including: packaging design, editorial design, web design, identity, collateral and branding.
I have the "sweetest" job in town! I have been the Store Manager at Palmer's Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe for 21 years now and have been fortunate to have not only a fun and rewarding job, but have also made a lot of friends with really great customers. My wife, Shelly, and I grew up in the Sioux City area and have watched our three children become young adults during this time. I wouldn't change a thing!
